Cortx is looking for a smart and hard working Software Engineer. You will work with a small team of other top-notch programmers to develop artificial intelligence that will be used to help create high quality content for our customers.

Description

You will be developing natural language processing software that is able to intelligently read, understand, and write content. An example application of this technology is a completely automated newspaper, where machines search the web for interesting content, extract relevant information from different sources, and compile this information into a completely new news article.

Requirements

  • Computer Science Degree (or similar)*
  • Proficient in one JVM-based language like Java or Scala
  • Comfortable in at least one scripting language (Python/PHP/Ruby)
  • A strong interest in artificial intelligence and natural language processing
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • You feel you are the type of person who excels at whatever you do

*If you don’t have a degree but have done something equally as interesting, we still want to hear from you!

  • Neural network or deep learning experience

  • A newspaper comprised entirely of robot authors.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing software across the entire Ruby on Rails + React stack
  • Programming languages and databases you will be working with include Ruby, Javascript, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis
  • Writing code that enables users to intelligently interact with our different artificial intelligence backends

Requirements

  • Computer Science Degree (or similar)*
  • Extremely comfortable in at least one scripting language (Python/PHP/Ruby)
  • Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience with an MVC framework such as Ruby on Rails, Symfony, Django, Spring, CodeIgniter, etc.
  • RDBMS experience
  • A good sense of design and UI/UX
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • You feel you are the type of person who excels at whatever you do

Cortx is looking for a smart and hard working Junior Growth Hacker. You will be creating, designing, engineering, and iterating through many different types of marketing strategies and channels with the end goal of reaching new customers and retaining existing customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Controlling and optimizing the entire sales funnel
  • Identify, create, and monitor A/B and multivariate tests to maximize conversion rates, retention, customer LTV, and other key KPIs
  • Identify each products’ ideal customer profile and work with all departments to ensure that those users’ needs are being met and exceeded
  • Identify and iterate through marketing channels
  • Provide production vision to help identify emerging market segments

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Tech savvy – even if you can’t code yourself you can talk intelligently about software and technology
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with both the product team and the marketing team
  • Core understanding of each product and the needs of our customers
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • You are a self starter who excels at whatever you do

  • Basic coding experience
  • Experience using analytics to quantify and iterate through marketing strategies
  • You have created something online before

An example application of this is a completely automated newspaper, where machines search the web for interesting content, extract relevant information from different sources, and compile this information into a completely new news article. Unlike many internships you will be writing production code that will actually be used by our customers.

  • Working towards a Computer Science Degree (or similar)
  • Proficient in one JVM-based language like Java or Scala
  • Comfortable in at least one scripting language (Python/PHP/Ruby)
  • A strong interest in artificial intelligence and natural language processing
